I Have a Reality Distortion Field

Exert Your Will Over Reality

Sup nerds, you're reading Cyber Patterns Premium.

If I could print out 1 tweet for my future kids (besides 1 of mine), it’d be this one:

“Nearly all young people severely underestimate their ability to exert their will over reality. ‘The world is a very malleable place. If you know what you want, and you go for it with maximum energy and drive and passion, the world will often reconfigure itself around you much more quickly and easily than you would think.’ — Marc Andreessen”

Brian Ji (@BrianJJi)

I want my kids, friends, and readers to know that you can exert your will over reality. You can reconfigure the world to your liking.

White girls call it “manifesting”, tech bros like me call it a “reality distortion field” after what Steve Jobs’ friends said he had. Jobs saw a better version—a distortion—of reality and then made it happen. You can too.
